Our ethos is grounded on respect for the planet, people and animals, alongside a profound commitment towards responsible use of resources, It is our driving force.
ORGANIC COTTON (GOTS certified)
We employ exclusively organic and biodegradable fabrics, such as fair trade GOTS certified organic cotton from our supplier Siebenblau .Organic Fabrics based in Germany.
In organic certification systems, 75-80% of organic-certified cotton is rain-fed plus it prohibits the use of pesticides and insecticides, meaning no risk of toxic chemicals running off into our water supplies.
But using organic fiber alone is not enough, the whole supply chain has to be considered and protected by providing decent work for the millions of people around the world who grow, spin, weave, dye, process, sew, transport and sell our clothes. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria.
RECYCLED OR UPCYCLED MATERIALS
Our design process is mindful and we strive to minimize waste; for instance, we make accessories such as belts and scrunchies from fabric cut-offs from our studio, and we use upcycled materials such as reclaimed factory dead stock or vintage pieces. We purchase vintage buttons instead of new ones, to reduce demand for virgin materials.
